The day was born out of the women’s rights movement in industrializing countries during the early 1900s. Approximately 15,000 women marched in New York City in 1909 for better working conditions (higher pay and shorter hours) as well as voting rights.
In 1910, at the second International Conference of Working Women, a gathering of women from activist and political organizations in Copenhagen spurred the idea of an International Women’s Day which was proposed and approved. The day would be observed for the first time the following year on March 19, 1911 in several European countries, however, March 8th has been the fixed date for International Women’s Day since 1914.
What a fitting day to share some feminine empowerment news!! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you will have seen goddesses sprinkled throughout my work, and definitely more in the last few months.
There's just something about sovereign women that really raises the energy, right? One of my favorite goddess connections was with Whitney Freya's Tara course (Image below is one of the layers). I loved the part where we asked for all sentient beings to be blessed with our request.
I want to know if there is a Goddess you've really connected with in the past, or heard tales about and wanted to learn more? If the answer is "yes", then you're in for a treat!
21 incredible coaches (myself included) will be leading courses connecting with goddess energy for the Festival of Feminine power and artistry.
The Festival is a collaborative effort amongst my family of Creatively Fit Coaches. As a Creatively Fit Coach, I am here to support and guide you into your own Personal Painting Practice. This is not painting in the sense, where it is all about being a realistic painter/artist... it is about connecting to our own Creative Spirits SO THAT we can create the art that is our life in a way that lights us up from the inside out! Life is your masterpiece, you are the artist!
