First ever CAS Card Challenge

Thanks to Evelyn's blogpost at Beyond Just Black and White, I'm participating in my first ever card challenge. Her cards are truly incredible, and she has been posting her wonderful creations on her paper crafting blog for over a decade and the work is inspiring.

I really enjoy making cards, but I very rarely document the process or final product. This CAS Mix Up challenge seemed like the perfect start to share my cards.

I was drawn to this challenge because A. I have SOOOOO many projects that need attention (this is an ideal time for procrastination projects), and B. I had just come across some random splatter/watercolor pieces that have been sitting in a drawer for years.

I used a 110lb white cardstock for the card and a green watercolor washed and splattered piece for the background.

Foam squares added depth.

Heat embossed sentiment

Maybe not as "clean" as it should be for this particular challenge. I would have likely reduced the size of the paint wash I made the background for this challenge specifically, but I like the way the card turned out.
