December 2nd is World Pollution Prevention Day, so I decided to paint a Messenger dealing with cleansing and purification. Whenever I think about those two things, I think about a vulture. During a Tara painting course there was a day you were asked to connect with the spirit of the vulture. I learned about how each morning when the sun rises, vultures spread their wings and allow the sunlight to burn away any disease or bacteria on their body from their scavenging. Vultures are such an important part of clearing away dead and decaying animals which then makes a clean space for new life to grow.

Symbolism:Purification, patience, resourcefulness, flexibility, intelligence, cleansing, adaptability, death, rebirth
Message: Practice Patience, flexibility, and adapt to changes and obstacles that show up. You are smart and resourceful! Take time to cleanse yourself mentally and physically. Let what doesn't serve a higher purpose die away to create space for rebirth.
